Our weekend was pretty uneventful. The grey misty weather decided to join us for the weekend. I was ok with it because it gave me a reason to stay in pajamas and drink coffee. I would say be lazy but I don’t think the word lazy and infant should be used in the same sentence. Logan officially started crawling. Let’s just say he always makes a crawling dart towards the fireplace. No more leaving the little fella for a second because I know he will be on the other side of the room when I return.
Now on to my outfit and headband. I thought this headband was perfect for a boho chic look. My headband is from Headbands of Hope. I love companies that have such an amazing mission. For every headband that is purchased one is donated to a child with cancer. You can read more about the company and see all their cute headbands here. The founder of the company also graduated from North Carolina State. I will always be supportive of my fellow Wolfpackers!!
Use code VendrilloHope for a discount your headbands when you order from their website.
My dress is from Lulus and necklace from Loft but linking some similar style below.
Staycation. My ten day staycation ended today when my parents left. Back to reality for me. It was nice to have help with Logan, the house and home cooked dinners by Mom. We have lived in Seattle for two years but I still have a small bucket list of places to see and things to do. I crossed a few of those off my list this week.
The weather has been amazing in Seattle the past few weeks. My memory of the dreary, rainy winter has already been erased from my mind. Some days, I think we might move back to the East coast when Logan gets a little older. However, days like today remind me why I never want to leave here. Seattle, I love you. City living, mountains, close to the water and more outdoor activities than you can imagine — why would we ever leave here?!
All the below photos were taken at Alki Beach in West Seattle. Any day at Alki Beach is a staycation. Dress and accessories are from Lika Love Boutique.

My first Mothers Day was certainly memorable. We spent the morning at the Ballard Farmers Market followed by brunch at Volterra. We came home to hang out on our back patio. It was overcast and a little chilly but perfect weather to enjoy a hot coffee outside.

Ryan started grilling the steaks while I decided to feed Logan. We introduced him to avocados. He seemed to think they were ok – didn’t love them or hate them. My mom made a banana pudding so we decided to let him taste it. A few minutes later he had developed a rash around his mouth and it quickly spread to his neck. The rash was pretty intense looking. He was breathing fine so I wasn’t highly concerned. I decided to give our Peds office a call to be on the safe side. I was on the phone with the Peds office while Logan was drinking some milk. He stopped eating and starting spitting up a lot. His body went kind of limp. I was terrified at this point and the nurse on the phone said for us to call 911 or get to the hospital immediately. We rushed to the car and were at the hospital in less than 5 minutes. They sent us right back to start checking his vitals. I was a nervous wreck trying my best to stay calm.

His rash was starting to get better once we had been checked into the emergency room. Seeing the rash get better helped to calm me down. Logan didn’t seem bothered and was quite the charmer at the hospital. We had to stay a while to monitor his vitals but he kept getting better. I feel blessed he ok and will never forget my first Mothers Day!

Hope everyone had a Happy Cinco de Mayo! No dinners out at a Mexican restaurant for us this year. We ended up grilling out and hanging out in the backyard. I seriously think I fall more in love with Seattle everyday. Ryan and I went on our first run together without Logan since the parents are in town. The hills in our neighborhood are quite aggressive. I thought I was going to die the entire run back up. We ran to the water and back. The run down is so nice with the view and downhill trek. The run back is not so fun.
Hope you enjoyed your cinco de mayo however you chose to celebrate it!!

Lemon Top // White Skinnys // Dolce Vita Sandals
I had the opportunity to attend the Stylish in Seattle blogger event last month. Tiffany, one of the founders from T&J Designs, was a speaker on one of the panels. She was adorable and I was obsessed with the off the shoulder polka dot top she was wearing. They had this top in this fabulous lemon print. I had to have it. It was too cute!
Now that we are on the topic of lemons, I do hope to get back into starting my day off with a cup of warm lemon water. Drinking lemon water is supposed to help flush the digestive system and rehydrate the body. I stopped this morning routine when I was pregnant and haven’t started it back up again. These days I am trying to get a cup of coffee as quickly as possible. Maybe this lemon top will bring back the motivation!

HAPPY MONDAY!!! It’s 80 and sunny here in Seattle today which makes me excited to break out all the summer clothes. No pregnant belly this year means I will be wearing lots of rompers! This is going to be my new go to date night outfit this summer. The romper has a tie that you can tie in back like I did or in the front for a more relaxed look. One of my favorite features is the pockets. I completed the look with some pink shoes. Pink shoes are also always a good idea!
Another year, another year older. Sigh. Thursday was my birthday and some of our close friends from NYC flew out to spend the weekend with us. I love having visitors and showing off our city.
Thursday afternoon, we ventured down to Pike Market, the gum wall and ended the day with cocktails in Cap Hill at my favorite coffee shop Cafe Solstice.

Friday, we did a HITT workout, went for a run around the neighborhood, lunched at Bitterroot, and explored Ballard. We ended the day with a cookout at our house. Perfection.

Saturday, we brunched at Bar Sajor, watched the Sounders win and loaded up on caffeine at the Starbucks Roastery.

It’s only Tuesday but I am exhausted. As the sun starts rising earlier, Logan keeps waking earlier. I have never been a morning person and don’t think I ever will be. I do wrangle myself out of bed to get Logan in the morning but 6am will never be easy for me.
No pregnant belly this year means I get to wear all the dresses I had to put away last year. This dress from Lulu’s is a favorite. I am all about the back details!
The countdown begins for my bestie Jen, James and Sumo’s best dog friend Hiro to arrive Thursday!! Can’t wait to show off Seattle to these New Yorkers.
Our weekend was pretty low key. Ryan coached at the tennis club both days so we didn’t get too much family time. Saturday afternoon we ventured to Market Street in Ballard. We walked around, shared a happy hour pizza at Stoneburner and ended our family outing with coffee at Cafe Umbria. With so many great restaurants on Market Street, we are excited to slowly start trying them.
My favorite purchase of the weekend was Logan’s Js. We stopped in a baby consignment store by the house, saw them, and couldn’t resist. All his outfits are being planning around them right now.
Mom life is going well. Logan was seven months on the 22nd and is really developing his little active personality. On Sunday, the plan was to meet some friends for brunch. I thought Logan might be getting sick for the first time so we cancelled. After I got him up from his first nap, I noticed two more bottom teeth that I swear were not there before his nap. All the fussiness I thought was him getting sick was just teething. Eight teeth now and Logan is starting to look like such a big boy! The only other changing thing for me is I did completely stop breastfeeding. It was the best decision for our life right now. I have a lot to be proud of making it past six months.
