I love the Seattle fitness scene. When I moved here two years ago, I immediately signed up for Class Pass. I started checking out the fitness studios near our home in Capitol Hill in the little time off I could get from work. Fitness really is for everyone and there is a workout for us all to enjoy. Working out is always more fun with friends and the social aspect when being active motivates me so much! After having my first child, my workout routine did change quite a bit. I wasn’t able to go to as many workout classes anymore and had to learn to be creative fitting workouts into busy mom life. Working out in a class setting will always be my favorite but companies like Cody make it easier to stay motivated with an at home fitness schedule. Cody is a local tech startup offering online fitness videos. Cody focuses on the experience of the workout, not the result. While I believe results are sometimes important, it is the active lifestyle you are creating for yourself that is so important. My results might look different from someone else’s but that doesn’t mean that person is more or less healthy. Fitness becomes a lifestyle when you allow it to be a positive experience.

I am excited to attend The180 event tomorrow.  It’s not too late to get tickets!! Come and join me for an active Friday night! Cody, a local tech startup, is partnering with social media fit queen Kaisa tomorrow night in their first in-person nighttime event. I love following Kaisa on Instagram and seriously can’t wait to actually take a class from her!!
