In the past, I have spent almost every Memorial Day at my parent’s beach house in Ocean Isle, North Carolina. Now we live on the west coast so that doesn’t happened. The summer holidays always make me miss my family. We did have a great long weekend staying home in Seattle this Memorial Day weekend. Our neighborhood view will never get old. The Pudget Sound and Olympic Mountains in the background always make me take a second and appreciate the moment.
Logan started trying to pull up to standing last week. After some determination, he succeeded in pulling up. He isn’t walking yet but I know it won’t be long and I’m not sure I am ready.
Since the inlaws were in town, we got to enjoy some baby free time. Saturday night, we tried out The Walrus and the Carpenter for a friend’s birthday. I’m glad we finally had a chance to try. As a non oyster eater, I don’t have any plans to go back. I do highly recommend for oyster lovers! I was exhausted on Sunday because Logan didn’t care that we went out. We had our normal Logan wake up call at 6am.
Sunday afternoon, we checked out North Beach Park by our house on a run. What a beautiful little trail in a ravine. I felt like we were deep in the Cascade mountains hiking miles from civilization.
I haven’t made it to any of my tennis team practices in a while. It was nice to get out and play some tennis with Ryan Sunday evening.
